Pharmacists seem to have more discretion in France regarding dispensing drugs so they may sell it to you based on your existing bottle and prescription.
If not, an appointment with a GP costs around 23€. The pharmacist probably has a name on file.

It is available in France as Prexidine and some others, as Seamus has said.
It does NOT require a prescription.

Yes, we plan to take one carry-on for each of us and will be in Arles, Avignon, and Lyon for the first 10 nights and Paris for one month. We did Florence, Venice, Strasbourg and a month in Paris with two carry-ons in 2010 with no difficulty. It would probably be harder with cold weather clothes.
