Paris Perfect?

My husband and I are thinking of going to Paris for a week in March with our 4.5-year-old son. We want to rent an apartment and I've been looking at various services. Has anyone got anything to say about Paris Perfect?

TIA...

Hundreds have used them and commented here. Off hand I'd guess at least 90% of them have judged it appropriately named.

I'm sure their apartments are wonderful but they seem very expensive. We just had a wonderful experience with another company whose prices were terrific:

If money is not a concern then book with ParisPerfect. If it is, well .. keep looking. PP's apts. are all quite lovely (we have a cousin in Paris who sold her apartment to them and it was completely remodeled). I've only read good reviews about them but again, they are quite expensive (someone has to pay for all the remoding, nice furnishings, etc.) I do think an apt. with a small child is a good choice tho.

If you type ParisPerfect Apartments into the Search box at the top of the page, you will find all the reviews and comments on ParisPerfect as well as hundreds of suggestions on other apartments.
And yes, we stayed in the Pomerol apt /ParisPerfect and liked it very much.

Four of my friends and I stayed in the Sancerre and 2 stayed in the Champagne. Both the apartments and the neighborhood are wonderful, exactly how pictured on their website and BETTER! We dined out, we dined in on market purchases, and we dined on "take out" from Rue Cler or Rue de Grenelle. And yes, they are aptly named "Paris Perfect."

The only very minor negative thing I would is that, even though I loved the 7th and the neighborhood of the apartments, it was a "task" to get pretty much anywhere except for the Eiffel Tower and Champs du Mars. I have stayed in the 6th twice and find that to be a great location for getting prety much anywhere. The two apartments we stayed at were on the western edge of the 7th and a walk to St. Germain one day took a good bit of time. Plus, while we were in Paris, it was in the high 80's/low to mid 90's everyday! Hopefully, March will certainly be cooler -- however, with the weather being so bizarre, you can never tell.

I think ANY of the PP apartments would be fabulous for you and I know you would totally enjoy the experience. I can't say enough about the apartments or Madelyn, Philippe, Carolyn, and Sarah! They were on top of everything from my very first inquiry. There is a "Yellow Book" in each apartment with instructions on the dishwasher, washer/dryer, and any other appliance. Also, everything about the neighborhood vendors, patisseries, boulangeries, restaurants, cafes, etc., etc. If there's a Nepresso machine in the apartment, learn how to use it the first hour you're there -- the coffee is wonderful!

After reading this, I totally sound like a Paris Perfect cheerleader which, I guess, I AM.

Hope you have the same wonderful experience in the apartments as we did!

Usually, we prefer moderately priced accommodations wherever we go. But, due to raves and raves for ParisPerfect and finding one of their offerings so overwhelmingly appealing, we stayed in one of their apartments in May 2005. We enjoyed it so much we are returning next month.

Last year, we were mostly enthralled with the location and the view. We also found the apartment absolutely "perfect". Our apartment was enormously comfortable, exquisitely decorated, and very well equipped. Enjoying fresh croissants with Nespresso coffee on a romantic balcony at a table for two every morning, with a magnificent view of the Tour Eiffel... Also a huge thrill was being able to pick up amazing fresh products from the markets all over for enjoying at "home". Best were the roast chickens with potatoes! And, also, enjoying Nespresso & Brandy or a nightcap on that balcony with the Tour Eiffel sparkling. Can you imagine anything more romantic than the sparkling Tour Eiffel while falling asleep (or whatever...) in full view? For sure, the views support the "high" price!

We did not find it a "task" to "get anywhere" as there are half a dozen or more bus routes (and, we prefer the buses to the metro...) within steps that take you all over, often without transfers.

While the prices may seem high at first glance, they are about 1/2 the price of a similarly fancy cramped hotel room, with much more space and several rooms where you can not only spread out, relax and enjoy yourselves, you'll have magnificent views, a wonderfully equipped kitchen, washer/dryer...and the VIEW!

For our upcoming visit, I am planning to prepare more meals in the apartment, after visiting the magnificent markets all about and requested a saute pan, if not already provided. I was advised if the saute pan there was not to my liking, I would be reimbursed for the one of my choice!

For sure, there are apartments (I researched obsessively for May 2006) with similar views at way lower prices. I found the booking process (along with initial deposit and security deposit totally inconvenient and cumbersome), booking fees, lack of personal attention, daunting...so ended up just staying in a hotel.

Note that both times we booked with ParisPerfect for the nice weather, we had to book a year and a half in advance.

For a very special apartment in a perfect location, you might try a flat that my husband and I just love: www.wewillalwayshaveparis.net It is located in the 7th, immediately adjacent to the 6th. The street is a splendid one with galleries, restaurants etc. Good hunting!

We stayed at ParisPerfect's Pomerol apt last winter. It is a lovely apt - beautifully maintained. It was a good location for us (within a few blocks walk to Metro, bus right on the corner), with GREAT shops around - right on Rue Cler. It is a bit of a walk to sights (other than Eiffel and Champ du Mars), so it may not be as convenient particularly with a small child. Also, you may want to check with them to see if the apts are 'child friendly' (many have antique furnishings and fancy do-dads). I'm not sure why so many consider the ParisPerfect apts expensive, considering the prices of hotels in Paris. I think you're paying for the comfort level, the amenities in the apt, location, service, etc. In this regard, ParisPerfect in outstanding.

There are also a number of other apt rentals in Paris that are slightly less with probably just as nice apts, etc. Check out Slow Travel (I think their website is slowtrav.com?) There are lots of reviews of apts that are pretty accurate.

I agree that a more central location (6th or 5th) might be a better choice, but it's all personal preference.

Paris is a magical city - enjoy!
