my husband and i will be in paris for 4 days. should we buy a 4 day paris pass or a 2 day pass? what web site is the best one to purchase the pass?

The Paris Pass is a very expensive repackaging of nothing other than admissions which you can purchase individually at a much lower cost.

If you are a motived museum visitor, the Museum Pass might be something you could check into.

The Paris Visite transportation pass (included in the Paris Pass) is itself an overpriced product (it only includes central Paris) and offers very little more, at 15.85 for two days, than what you could otherwise purchase for 12.70 euros, a ten ride book of individual tickets.

I agree, but have you compared the prices and figured out you really want this and that it will save you money? If so, go ahead and buy it. I think it could actually be a reasonable deal if and only if you really intended to use a lot of the things on it (and not the museum pass or Paris Visite which you could easily buy separately if you want). I'm surprised anyone wants to buy it, it is so expensive. For example, if you really wanted to go to that wine tasting company, which costs 30 euro, that would affect things. But if yo ugo to a whole bunch of museums in a couple days (thinking you need the museum pass part), you probably wont' be using the hop-on, hop-off bus the same days. But if you really want to do all those things, it might make sense (and Montparnasse Tower which is expensive).

The 2 day pass is 104 euro and if you collect locally, only 2 euro more compared to a lot to send it. How could you even do things to cost 52 euro a day normally? Even if you bought a carnet of metro tickets and used 5 of them, and went to 2 museums (I don't usually go to more than one per day), it wouldn't be even close to that cost. It might be around 25 euro cost.

You shouldn't buy either of them unless it's the "extracurricular" items on it that attract you. If you're a typical visitor to Paris who just wants to visit a few museums, use the buses and métro, and take a boat ride down the Seine, you'll get far better value for your money buying those things separately, once you get there. Looking at the things the Paris Pass covers, it would be almost impossible for anyone to use enough if its offerings in such a short time to get any value from it whatsoever.

thanks everyone! I thought the same thing, but other have said I should absolutely buy it. I think museum burn out would happen really fast if you tried to get your money's worth in 2 days!
