Degas, check out this church which is north of Printemps, between Gare St Lazare and Notre Dame de Lorette:

La Trinite (1867). built with a 63M tower in a Second empire style. Has a park out front with fountains and sculptures. Stands just to the west of Square de la Trinite.

The Musee de la Vie Romantique is located nearby at 16 rue Chaptal. Mon closed Mon. Open 1000-1740.

Those new places to the north deserve a look. I loved the paragraph on the "Lorettes" - that kind of interesting info adds so much to a walk.

Here's another couple of places to see since we'll be in the area:

BIBLIOTHEQUE NATIONAL. 58 RUE DE Richelieu. M: Bourse. M-Sat 1000-1900. Free. Largest library in the world. Take a look inside the old building at one of the architectural masterpieces of Paris ? the main reading room.

The Cabinet des Medailles et Antiques occupies its own wing of the building. Mon ? Sat 1300-1700. Sun 1200-1800. 3E. Amazing little museum that is rarely seen by tourists. The collection is really the treasure trove of the kings of France: jewels, coins, medals, crystal, maps, seals, plans and paintings.

NOTE: Behind the Bibliotheque, the Square Louvois is a little park with a pretty fountain.

we did this walk in march! It was snowy but great. One note of precaution, one person posting said save this for a Monday or Tuesday. Please be aware musee Jacquemart Andre is closed on Tuesdays.

We did see Musse Nissom Cammonde on our walk, we took the walk on a Saturday.

I remember Degas' great itineraries.

I was the one who had said it could be a good visit for Mon or Tuesday with the Jacquemart Andre because they used to be open every day of the week and some others museums close one of those days.

Are you sure they are now closed Tuesdays?

Musée Nissim de Camondo is the one that's closed Mondays and Tuesdays. It's well worth a visit.
