Deloris,<BR><BR>"Celebrations" after football matches are totally different to May Day marches. Just be thankful the English didn't win that World Cup (no offence to any of English on the forum - you know as well as I do what it could have been like).<BR><BR>There was trouble in Dublin last May Day too, but the trouble was between the police and the protesters. And that's my point. You are not likely to get into trouble if you are not involved. <BR><BR>I was actually planning to be in China for May Day this year, but had to change my plans. <BR><BR>To be honest, as a European, if I wasn't able to handle seeing protest marches, I'd have to lock myself in my house 300 days a year (its kind of a continental sport!!)
