Hi all what's happening in Paris Oct 31-Nov 4? Any new things to do/see? (I've done the Louvre, Sacre Couer, etc..)

On the list already is:
Musee D’Orsay
Catacombs
Sainte Chapelle
Opera House
Musee Rodin
Promenade Plantee

If that's all you've done, there are still dozens of museums you haven't been to, I presume you do know that, don't you? Even excluding the really minor ones, there are a lot of major ones you haven't been to (Branly, Naval or Marine, Petit Palais, Marmottan, Carnavalet, Invalides (military museum), Pompidou, Arts et Metier, Jewish history, etc etc).

Some people like to visit Notre Dame, take a Seine cruise, and go to a street market. Others like to go to Pere Lachaise (a cemetery) for some reason.

Depends what interests you:

Musée Guimet (Asian art)?

Contemporary art at the Palais de Tokyo/Trocadero?

Another vote for the Petit Palais (mixture of 19th century and historical arts and design from the city collections), not least because it's free, as is the Cognac-Jay (18th century arts and furniture). Will the Carnavalet be open again by then? It's been closed for renovations etc over the summer.

Cité des Sciences and Cité de la Musique at La Villette?

Sainte Chapelle may have an especially good concert around that time (All Saint's Day).
The Passages are lovely if it is raining. the shops under the Promenade Plantee are fun to browse. A glass of wine in the lounge of Le Train Bleu? Watch people arrive for lunch was fun for us.

Christina, Carnavalet is closed for the next 3 or 4 years for total renovation.

Reminds me of the people who keep mentioning Chez Clément as a restaurant option, even though it went bankrupt last year and all of the Chez Clément restaurants closed.

We always enjoy a good tour with Paris by Mouth.

Have you checked to see what exhibits are at the Grand Palais or other Paris museums? There is a gorgeous Dior exhibit at the Museum of Decorative Art celebrating Dior's 70th anniversary. I love fashion so I would not miss it but you may not be interested in that.

Don't forget to visit a market street and/or a street market. The latter are usually only in the morning, and even if you can't cook, buy some cheese and bread--and some foie gras. We were there about the same time as you and it turned cold so DDIL bought a nice looking inexpensive jacket at one.
The Orsay always has a wing that we like to see for the first time or revisit.

My personal don't-miss recommendation is the Medieval Museum, or the Cluny Museum. Even if you don't go inside (but you should !! to see the Unicorn Tapestries), the courtyard and the building is beautiful.

Cluny is undergoing extension and renovation. The Unicorn tapestries are still there as is maybe half the other stuff, so it's still a very good place. If they are having a concert, that's the day to go (extra fee, of course).

We have our December tickets for the Dior exhibit as well as for the new Yves St. Laurent Museum. Should be interesting.

So jealous weekender!! Fashion heaven. Fodorite Judy went and her pictures looked amazing. PS headed back in early April 2018....you should go as I can't believe we have never made it there at the same time.

Don't miss an evening concert at S. Chapelle...get tickets on line for quicker entry.

You have Opera House on your list....book a tour on line. One of the only tours we took in Paris on our 12 visits. Outstanding.

Our Favorite, Carnavalet...Too bad it's closed for renovation.

Marmottan...another favorite for the Monets.

I'd recommend going to Sainte-Chapelle if you can find a sunny day.
Otherwise, the effect of the stained glass will be totally lost on you.
I wish people would go around 1 PM, when the light is good, instead of going to the concerts, where they see nothing.
