Paris museum pass for teen?

I'm planning to buy a museum pass for our May '08 Paris visit, but I've read that many museums don't charge for people under age 18. Can anyone tell me whether my teen will need one, too? (For the following museums: Louvre, D'Orsay, Rodin, St. Chapelle) Thanks.

The Louvre's Web site says admission is free under age 18 and then says in very small print that "valid ID" is required and that a list of "valid IDs" can be obtained at the information desk under the Pyramide. My guess is that a high-school ID card would not be sufficient; a passport certainly would be.

Many places are indeed free for those under 18, and if not free, then very small fee that it's just not worth getting a museum pass. Get one for the adults, and just make sure you have your kids passport with you if you need to show id for the kids to get them in free.

Your teen doesn't need any sort of special ID - a passport or driver's license or student ID is fine. If he/she's under 18, it's free admission.
