Paris Museum Pass
 

A year and a half ago I purchased a 3-day museum pass for 35 euro. I just went to a websit ehtta showed the same 3-day pass as being $27.00 (USD) which is definitely less than 35 euro. Did the price go down or am I being offered a deal by buying it on this website? For anyone who has purchased one in Paris recently, how much did it cost?

No, that's wrong. I went thru the motions as if I was going to order one and it was going to charge my an add'l $27.00, added to the regualr price of the pass. I wonder why that is?

Oh well...

I just went through and "pretended" to order a 3 day pass from that link the price in my shopping cart was $51.95. So then I "pretended" to order a one day pass and the price was $24.95. This was before tax and shipping. The way the prices are stated on the home page is confusing; the 3 day pass price = the 1 day + $24.95. As I am sure you can see, it's not a good deal.

Since there probably isn't a good reason to purchase one ahead of time, I'll just wait until we arrive.

Sandi -- that website says for a 3-day pass "Add $27.00" to the cost of the 1-day pass, for which no price is given. If you take the $24.95 at the top of the page as the cost of the 1-day pass (though it doesn't say that), the 3-day pass would be $52 (plus handling charges?), so the smart thing is buy the pass for 36E at any of a hundred convenient Paris locations (train and metro stations, tourist info kiosks, some hotel concierges).

yes, I understand that now, and I will wait. Last time we just purchased one at the Arc entrance.

You can purchase the museum pass at nearly any Metro station without standing in line. That's a better option and the cost is the same.
