Paris Muesum Admissions for under 18

We are traveling with two kids, 17 and 14 to Paris in June. I have seen mention of free admission to Paris museums for those under 26. Now I am concerned it is for EU citizens under 26. Is this correct? What about under 18 admissions to museums? Does anyone have information on this. Trying to decide whether to buy museum passes for all of us or just some. I apologize if there is an answer to this somewhere, but I have looked and just can't seem to find a definitive answer.

It's free for EU citizens under 18 and full time EU students up to 26 (show passport or student ID respectively).

Best to check the individual museum's web pages. D'Orsay is free for ALL children under 18 for example.

Usually the student thing under age 26 is in reference to EU students, but you'd have to find out from a museum itself what its rules all, as they can differ. But a student rule is completley different than the children issue or any age issue, in general. All of Paris museums don't have to same rules, either, they are run by different entities. But many are free for anyone under age 18. But do not trust anyone who tells you every museum has the same rules.

The Louvre is free to people under 18. Bring proof of age in case you are asked.

You need to check each web site for the correct info.

Here's the official brochure from the website.

Note on Page 3 "Many museums and monuments are free to
visitors under 18 years of age and European
Union nationals under 26."

Then, noted under each venue, look for

"Gratuit : -18 ans, -26 ans (EU Flag)"
