As for Les Halles being a "painful" connection, nothing could be farther from the truth. That's where the RER is. The only reason that the RER station became "Châtelet-Les Halles" was to allow people on lines 1, 7, and 11 to reach the RER. People on line 4 know that the RER is at Les Halles.

I guess I don't go through there often enough! To me, it seemed from the name of the RER station it was one big complex! Sorry/

I strongly agree with the other poster -- go to gare du nord which has escalators and elevators.

If you don't have a Métro Ligne 4 car handy so you can refer to the map over the door, you can always look here:

Wow lots of feedback. Thank you everyone. Sorry for my late response.
The reason we are not transfering at St. Michel is because we are on the 7 line and it doesn't stop there. Our metro starting point is Place Monge which stops at Chatelet. There is two of us and we will look into other modes of transportation as well. Thank you Michel Paris, the website that you provided will be useful if we still choose to go by public transit vs. taking a cab. Merci. |
You could also take Métro Ligne 7 to Opéra and get on the Roissybus. Next stop: Charles de Gaulle Airport.
