Paris Metro "plan interactif"
I haven't been able to access the interactive map for a couple of days now. I've always Googled "ratp plan interactif" and went straight to it. This is the one where you can click on the station and see what lines stop there. You can also bring up station neighborhood maps and detailed route maps.
The map that comes up now is nothing like that. When I click on the map it simply zooms in on the spot I clicked. I don't see a way to even zoom the whole map....which means the bus map is useless for my poor eyes. Is anyone else having this problem? |
Sometimes the website is down for maintenance.
I tried a test and the site is up now: http://www.ratp.fr/itineraires?start...rarysearchform If you have any more trouble, you can download this entire Paris bus map, which will help you connect to other lines, if you need to do so. You can enlarge the whole map to let you see where the stops are: www.ratp.fr/plans-lignes/plan-des-bus |
Unfortunately, the interactive map is gone. In its place is the new improved version that fuzzbucket has posted which is, in my opinion, far more awkward to use.
The new RATP website is very clean looking, but rather than finding the information you want in a click or two, it now requires searching through pages and pages of well laid out graphics. One step forward, two steps backward. |
I was so afraid that was going to be the answer.
I've been trying that new version and find it awkward at best. I loved being able to click on a bus line and its route was highlighted. Or click on a station and pull up the vicinity map. I'll try to get used to the new one but I certainly wouldn't call it an improvement! I can't tell you how many people I've taught to use the metro off that old map. Doubtful I'd take the time to go through this new one....and I can't imagine they'd pick it up as quickly. Sad. |
Like most Parisians, I just glance at the metro or bus map if necessary while waiting. It will be a sad day when I have to make a plan about such things before even leaving home.

So sorry to hear about the end of the interactive map. I relied on it many times when planning the next day's transportation. Why end something that worked so well?
