These directions were very easy for us to follow and we have done it many times.

Get out at St. Michael-Notre Dame exit. Follow the signs to Hotel Dieu(hospital) toward back of the train.

2 escalators will take you up to ticket machines. Put ticket in to get out. Go thru glass doors & straight ahead to a narrow escalator on the left---it looks like a dead end, but it is not; turn right & take another narrow escalator to street.

When you come out, you will see the space to the right in front of Notre Dame. Go toward it and turn left along front of hospital. Walk along street on left side of Note Dame to Ile St. Louis.

Unfortunately on the way back, whatever station, you will have to haul luggage down 2 flights of steps.

We have done this quite easily with 2 carry ons. If you have more luggage, it may be a bit more difficult.

Good luck and have a wonderful trip.

I think weall answered you about where to get off, but your question seems to be about getting on at CDG.

It used to seem more confusing, but last year when we arrived at CDG the signs to the train were new and very well marked.
If you buy your ticket at the booth, they will tell you exactly where to go. If you buy at the machine just look on the board for the track number for the next train to Paris.

It sounds confusing, but it really is quite easy.

KateWW:

I stayed at Hotel Dieu last year (for the 3rd time) and the RER B station is just beyond the front door (literally 10 steps). IMO it is the least stressful, quickest and most economical way to get to Central Paris and Hotel Dieu. The metro map can be scary. My first trip to Paris, I avoided the metro the entire time. Now I ride it like a pro!

Very helpful site: http://parisbytrain.com/

RER B (Blue Line on map) towards Robinson, etc.
Exit St. Michele/Notre Dame
Hotel entrance just beyond the RER stop

Air France Airport Bus (#4) to Gare Montparnasse. 15E/Every 30 minutes/45 min to an hour arrival time. You don't have to be an Air France passenger.
Take the #4 Metro (pink line on map) towards Porte Clingancourt.
Exit Cite (hotel is across the street). Once you come up the stairs, you will be facing a garden nursery. Turn to your left and walk towards the street, crossing at the light. Once across, you will have Notre Dame to your right and Hotel Dieu will be to your left.

Of course Taxi is always an option, but way too expensive!

Have loads of fun and congratulations!

Just think, if you walk, walk, walk, you can eat, eat, eat and not gain a pound!

Have fun.

Why is this thread back after 4 years?

Rather than asking again, it was easier just to find this and bookmark it. You can ignore it.
