>>Citymapper claims it has metro maps showing the exits/entrances<<
I'll look into it. Thank you.

Well then why do people ask for help, then tell people their advice is not helpful? How many lines are we expected to read between?

Why must people be so rude is a very good question.

<Too many people on these boards who insist on asking personal questions without providing one word of helpful information.>

Good luck finding another travel forum where people will answer all your questions but not ask anything of you.

Some people are very kind, informative, and generous. I value them. They are not located on just one board. They supply the information you asked about without prying questions and without judgement.

I never expect "all" of my questions to get answered. Most travelers on travel boards can't relate to my personal needs.

Other people are just plain rude and nosy. I guess it's human nature, and we have to take the bad with the good. The differences between the two types of people appear like night and day to me.

Yes let me apologize to Wesley - I agree we should only try to answer his/her question without questioning why. Sorry.

@Christina
I sent an email to Citymapper with a few detailed questions. Let's see if they get back to me. I had never heard of them before. Thank you for the heads-up.

I would love to know about those other travel forums with all the kind and generous people on them.

But maybe that's too nosy to ask where you get this better information?

This is for getting out of the metro station, rather than getting in, but perhaps this info will be useful to someone: We used both Citymapper and google maps in Paris. We found that city mapper did not say which Metro exit to use to get to our destination, but google did. This was in 2014, so the city mapper app may well have changed.

I DID ask a question, PalQ.

I asked what other travel forums have nicer people than here.

@suze
Your question is off-topic. Many boards do not permit off-topic questions and comments. I have little patience for boards that tolerate and support off-topic remarks. That's why I limit my participation.

There was a poster on this board, a single individual, who offered the precise information I needed for driving in Annecy. So grateful. Hugely helpful.

There was a poster on this board who led me to making my own walking and driving maps. Incredibly grateful. She helped me off-board to answer complicated questions about the software. Amazing patience with me.

There was a generous poster on SlowTrav, who was key to my driving success in and around Florence.

There was a local poster on Trip Advisor who showed much patience and compassion for my dealing with Geneva driving.

There was a poster on Rick Steves who got me through Montepulciano in a car without a hitch.

When it comes to driving safely, I know I'm needy. I'm not proud of it, but I've learned how to push for my safety.

In each case, these individuals showed amazing patience and compassion, dealing with my endless questions. Some of them offered to contact me off-board. The travel trolls were out to slaughter me in all of these examples. These kind and generous folk taught me how to be a better human being, and they gave me hope that I might continue to travel safely. I never went without saying a sincere thank you. I continue to always thank the kind people who help answer my questions. The rude and judgmental, I'm not so good with. Kind, helpful people may be on every board. I feel I've been lucky.

Frankly, I have known people who, when given precise directions from a metro station with a grand total of one entrance, will still walk from it in the wrong direction and then complain.

Some people cannot be helped.

@Cowboy1968
Thank you. That's exactly what I was looking for. I had to change browsers to get the link to work. Obviously, that's a jpeg. Is it yours? Did you take the photo from a computer screen? If so, is that a screen of an App? Can you say what App? Thanks, again.
