Paris Metro

Hi everyone,
We will be arriving at Paris ~9 p.m. from London and take Metro to our hotel. We will not have any EURO. Does the Metro station have ticket booth that accepts American credit cards? Or is it a good idea to use the ATM at night in the station? Thanks!!

It depends on how you are arriving from London.

Oh, sorry, I am arriving at Gare du Nord Station.

I don't know if it is as bad at night but problem number one is the queues for tickets when a full train offloads. Think you may have problems with no currency.

There are a few ATMs in London that dispense Euros, so you might be able to pick some up there (not great exchange rate, to be sure) before you board the train.

Hi VV,

You can pick up some Euro at your departure airport, or at the airport when you arrive in the UK.
