Can anyone tell me the easiest connections via Metro from CDG to Gare St. Lazare? Thanks!

Go to www.ratp.fr site and select English.

Put this in the departure box and select station: Aeroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV - RER

Put this in the arrival box and select station: Gare Saint Lazare

Click on Search and a nice little map will pop up (or if it doesn't click on the blue click here words in the top paragraph) with directions. It's a great site.

From CDG take RER B to Chatelet Les Halles, transfer to Metro 14 direction Saint-Lazare, get off at Saint-Lazare and there you are

Yeah, but my way is so much more fun and educational - and I do like that interactive map.

The fastest way is to get off the RER at Gare du Nord, walk over to the Magenta station, and ride RER E to St. Lazare.

Note: Magenta and Gare du Nord are exactly the same RER stations so there is not even any "walking over". The only reason they gave it a different name is because there are plans in the indeterminate future to link it by tunnel to Gare de l'Est (with moving walkways), probably when they finally build the projected CDG downtown check-in site and high speed rail link to CDG out of Gare de l'Est.... maybe in 10-15 years?

Hmmm. Seems to be some disagreement here. Anyway - it takes about 4 minutes to walk from the B line to the E line, according to ratp.fr.

Out of curiosity, does anyone know how much an RER ticket from CDG to Gare St. Lazare would be??? Thanks...

It's a standard M&eacute;tro ticket - 1.40&euro; (1.07 &euro;if you buy a <i>carnet</i> of 10).

I should add that if you've paid for an RER ticket from CDG, it will take you anywhere in the central zone via RER and M&eacute;tro for no additional fare. Just don't go out the SORTIE until you get where you're going.

If you buy the 8 &euro; RER ticket from CDG to Paris, anywhere you go in the metro is included.
(I pass through Gare du Nord almost every day, and line E is just lower than line B. Does it take 4 minutes to go down 4 escalators? Probably.)

I am planning to travel from CDG to Gare St. Lazare...to catch a train to Giverny (Vernon)

From reading the posting the RER to Gare de Nord to Gare St. Lazare would be the best way to go, right???

Also, Can I purchase train tickets to Vernon from Gare St. Lazare???

Yes, take the RER B from CDG to Gare du Nord. Transfer there to the RER E and take it to Haussmann St-Lazare. Yes, you can buy your ticket (E11.40) to Vernon at Gare St-Lazare.
