Paris - London Chunnel Ticket Pricing
 

I will be traveling from Paris CDG Airport to London and returning back to Paris four days later. What is the price of Chunnel Train Tickets purchased at the point of departure? I've priced second class tickets through RailEurope, however, they are typically higher priced. Is there a roundtrip option? Considering taking a flight one-way (Paris - London) with a return on the Chunnel -- looking for best prices options. Thanks for your advice.

Just go directly to Eurostar.com to price out r/t tickets. People on this site have convinced me to:

1. never call it the chunnel
2. never fly between London and Paris. Dealing with those airports outside of the city centers isn't worth it. Eurostar is very pleasant and you only have to arrive 30-40 min before departure and the station is generally minutes away from where you're staying in London or Paris.

Prices for the Eurostar vary widely according to how far in advance you book them (discount seats are limited) and upon the day of the week and the time of day you plan to travel. As fishee says, check fares and book at eurostar.com. If you wait until you get to London, you're likely to have to pay top dollar.

If you fly from CDG to London, be sure to allow plenty of time between arrival and departure. I'd suggest three hours to be safe just in case your flight into CDG is late. Fly to Heathrow rather than to an outlying airport so you can take the tube to London. Your cheapest flights to LHR would be on either BMI (www.flybmi.com) or British Airways (www.britishairways.com).

In the heart of the low season, you can snag round trip tickets on the Eurostar for 50€ -- if you travel on the right day at the right time.

It'll be much more expensive to buy on the day.

A return ticket (round-trip) is often cheaper than single.
