Paris Lodging/2 stars/district 5-6???HELP

HELP....may be planning LAST MINUTE trip to Paris, want to stay in St. Germain District (#5, #6). Need inexpensive, quiet, CLEAN hotel (private bath a must). Would love 3 stars, but think they are out of our price range. Looking to spend about 100 US dollars per night.

HELP!

Hi brenda,

Are you looking for a hotel for about 80E per night dbl?

If so, go here.

Maybe these: (still a bit over $100)
Hotel du College de France - Doubles 78-110E (not sure when their low season is)

very good comments on Tripadvisor

Hotel Cujas Pantheon - Doubles 83- 90E

You can try "Laterooms" at http://www.fr.laterooms.com/?lang=eng
and put your actual dates in. It will be difficult to find anything in the 6th for that rate.

Try also www.123france.com

A one star (but good quality) is Hotel St Andre des Arts on the street of the same name in the 6th. Should definitly be under $100. My favorite hotel is the St Jacques on rue des Ecoles in the 5th but I think it's close to $100 for a single. But actually, the single on the top floor has a double bed in it and I know they occasionally rent that room as a double. You could ask. It's bigger than some of the doubles I've stayed in in London.

Try www.ratestogo.com I've used them a couple times & have always got a great rate.

We stayed several years ago(April 2000) at the Hotel du Dragon, on rue du Dragon in that area. It was a 2 block walk from St. Germaine des Pres metro, or Rennes metro, making for easy metro access in any direction. There is a Monoprix on rue de Rennes where we bought fruit and snacks, and a bakery on rue du Dragon. The bathroom had been recently modernized, the room was ample size, with 2 twins pushed together, and I would certainly stay there again. It does not have a lift, and has 5 floors, so in my opinion, that is its only drawback. We made reservations via fax, at that time there was no website, and may still not be. The location couldn't be beat.
