Paris -- La Mouzaïa -- another top secret location

I am somewhat thankful to all of the guidebooks that tell people to steer clear of certain arrondissements in Paris, which are "dangerous" or "ugly" or "too far from the attractions," and there are plenty of Parisians to back them up on this. "Oh, I never set foot in that part of town! It's terrible!"

Nevertheless, I would like to present for your examination a small section of the 19th arrondissement known to Parisians as "La Mouzaïa." If I could move there, I would do so in a minute.

Thanks for another very interesting photo essay. This area reminds me of some parts of the 14th, near Alésia and Parc Montsouris, but La Mouzaïa appears much more verdant...and extensive.

Alleys and alley cats, great idea to start off a photo essay. It's so much fun to have you guide us through these little Parisian neighborhoods, thank you.

Hi Kerouac, I continue to travel vicariously through your beautiful photo essays. I feel quite robbed that so far my knowledge of Paris is pretty much the usual tourist sites. Will correct that on our next trip.

I have now decided that we need a 'chat lunatique' sign on our front door as we do have a completely mad feline.

Thank you so much, Cathie

Nice to revisit these, K.

I have a real "thing" for doors, door knockers and garden entryways. My husband and I were just talking about making our next photobook be nothing but these types of scenes.

Thanks for sharing something so pleasant to wake up with (et un café, bien sûr!)
