paris jazz

Do you have any suggestions for a fun jazz club? My husband and I are a bit older and would prefer someplace where we could sit during the concert, and lean more towards classic jazz in taste.

I enjoyed Caveau de la Huchette on rue de la Huchette in the 5th. It's underground with a small entrance fee and various jazz groups play there. The night I went we listened to jazz and swing music where some of us danced but most just watched and listened. I believe the time to go is 10:00 pm or so.

In the 6th district on rue jacob and rue benoit there are a few jazz caves, one i liked was almost on the corner of jacob and benoit on the left side of beniot.

My husband is jazz muscian and composer and we really enjoyed Le Bilboque Jazz Club located on 13 rue St. Benoit. (We're both over 50 and felt right at home.)

Second the recommendation for Le Bilboque Jazz Club located on 13 rue St. Benoit (We're both 48 and we loved it). Try to sit on the benches that line the walls. The little chairs in the center of the room were a killer on my back.
