"Do you have the name of the Trafalgar tour hotel"
"I assume your package includes a hotel. Where is it located? That will help us with recommendations. " According to the Trafalgar website it is the Le Méridien Etoile (of course that could change since they usually say 'or similar' but I didn't find that qualifier i the tour description). Misleading name since the hotel is probably 3/4 mile from Place de l'Étoile. It is a lot closer to the Périphérique than to Étoile |

.......Any favorite little places we should try to go to on our own? Best croissants? Best crêpes? Isn’t there a large flea market in Paris? (I cannot lie, wandering around there would be very fun for me!).
Anyway, thanks again. Perhaps if I had inquired earlier we would have done things differently! Happy Travels! If you Google Map "paris", and then zoom in to the neighborhood of your hotel, and then, up at the top, where it has 'buttons' for hotels, restaurants, coffee, gasoline, etc., you click 'coffee' and then, when it shows all the coffee shops around your hotel, you click in the little menu box at the left where it shows "coffee", you instead, click the wofd coffee' and when it's highlighted, you substitute the word "crepes", you will get a printable map of all the crepe shops in the area of your hotel Same with patissieries, or restaurants, or barber shops, or whatever ignites your interest. Then, having printed it before your trip, you can just carry the map with you. And, if you do the same on your smart phone when in Paris, you can see what's nearby. For example, if you're headed toward the Rodin Museum, there might be an interesting shop one street over from the one that's a direct route to the museum. |
The hotel will probably not change since the Méridien Etoile is still the biggest hotel in the city even if the Marriott across the street looks bigger because it is a high rise.

I love Paris in September! Fewer tourists compared to the summer months, and the weather is still nice. October might be nice as well, but there's more chance for rainfall.
