I don't remember the name of falafel place, but I can tell you where it is. The place we had read about was closed (It was Saturday so I guess closed for the Sabath?) so we chose a place on the corner of:

Rue de Rosiers & Rue du Marche des Blanc Monteauk

(hope my spelling is correct, they are two small side streets)
There was a long line so we assummed it was good. We were right. You had to pay inside, get a ticket and then go to the take-out window outside to order and p/up. We took it to go and ate it down the road at a little courtyard. Remember to get lots of napkins!

So glad you had a great time and you got to walk around and savor the city. I laughed about the crepes because my first trip to Paris..was a tour that trip..anyway, we arrived in Paris in the afternoon and had time to wander around the neighborhood and explore a bit, and we were all starving (me, my two brothers and one SIL) and happened upon a creperie. Well, what is more Paris than a creperie and I LOVE crepes. I ordered a frommage et jambon crepe..said bonjour and the whole bit, "see vous played" and everything. Well, the guy making the crepes was so surley..fit every cliche that one had ever heard about Paris, and the crepe was just dry and gaggy..the more I chewed the bigger it got and then I just totally ran out of spit. I told my brother to please order me a beer, I couldn't talk with the huge dry wad in my mouth. Abbey Leff..good beer by the way. It was so funny...all I could think was "well, welcome to Paris"!!!! LOL I still crack up thinking about it. I gave up on the crepes and stuck to creme brule..a cafe just up the street from our hotel, fabulous brule...my brother and I actually stopped in TWICE one day..had one with lunch and then stopped by later..he still had two in his little frige and we could NOT see them go to waste!!!! LOL
