Paris in October

We'll be in Paris for 10 days starting in mid-October; our second trip to Paris. Any ideas for day trips outside of Paris or lesser known spots...we'll return to our favorite places but would like new ideas.

I've sent my daytrip file. Vaux-le-Vicomte and Auvers-sur-Oise have been our favorites...the impressionist show at the Auvers Chateau being the high point of the latter.

RonZ, I used your superb daytrip file last year. Nice to see you are still sharing it with others.

Ah Chat..Great minds! I was just about to compliment Ron also! We used his notes to great advantage and plan to do so again this fall!

Thanks Ron!

You might consider a day trip to Angers. The the TGV from Montparnasse early in the morning and it is only about an hour and a half ride. The Château de Angers is only a couple blocks from the train station and the old part of the city is also near by. There are also a couple of beautiful gardens in Angers. Take the TGV back to Paris later in the day.
