Paris in November?
What is one of the best things about Paris in November?
|
Very few crowds. I went, for about a 6-day stretch around Thanksgiving weekend one year, a few years ago, and it was very nice.
And I was lucky to have gotten better and warmer weather than I usually get when I'm there, annually, in March and sometimes April. I have photos of two friends and I sitting outside, late at night, at the Cafe Flore and we weren't cold at all...and I'm use to L.A. warmth. Smiles. Happy Travels! |
That's so rainy that you will be alone visiting the city.

One of the lovely things about Paris---just like CA--is that they have those wonderful stand-up heaters in the sidewalk cafes which makes an otherwise chilly day become an opportunity to enjoy one of the great pleasures of Paris! If you are a woman--or a man for that matter--take along a cashmere scarf, which also diminishes any potential chill. Have a great time :)

I love Paris in November as everyone has said no crowds. Weather is a "crap shoot" so bring an umbrella. Have been the last several years and always a great time - will be there this Nov. as well. Have fun.

Hot chocolate!

Vin chaud.

Agree with all of the above. Be prepared for cold, drizzly weather, but it can be a good time to visit.

Yes,definitely take an umbrella just in case. I never leave home without one when going to Paris no matter what time of the year.
Luckily, my two friends and I didn't get any rain on our November trip, whereas many times I've gotten terrible rain and wind storms while traveling in April. One never knows. But, at least you'll feel like you have the city relatively to yourself. And no ridiculously long museum lines. Happy Travels! |
DH and I will be there in November this year, and we are looking forward to no crowds. I know the weather can be iffy as far as rain is concerned, but isn't it always a crapshoot when you travel? Bringing an umbrella (ella, ella, ella) and a removable lining trenchcoat, some scarves and I'm all set. Can't wait!!!
