Paris in November

Will be in Paris Nov 19th for a week. At this time of year would still plan on going to the Palace of Versailles for a day trip?

We have in the past and it is still beautiful.

Yes, indeed, but don't plan on paying for or enjoying the gardens that time of year. Save the grounds for another trip.

By all means, yes! Of several trips to Versailles, a visit in late November was perhaps most memorable. Fewer crowds, for one thing! Also, take a bit of time to stroll through the local shops in the town. We found some great Christmas presents at prices lower than in Paris, and had the (putative) best cup of hot chocolate in the universe!

The town of Versailles itself is worth the 30 minute trip from Paris. Each time I go to Versailles I spend a couple of hours walking around town. As for the Chateau itself, I am much more interested in spending time walking around the grounds and gardens than inside the chateau. You won't see much in the way of flowers in late November. The fountains only operate on Saturdays and Sundays but I'm not sure if they operate at all in November.
