You should immediately look at locking down lodgings. May is busier than March, so you will already be behind the 8-ball

Quickly find thy way to Giverny. Mid-May is superb. Expect to see irises, peonies, rhododendrons, geraniums, wisterias, azaleas, wallflowers, daisies, laburnum and delphiniums.
Sigh. Want to be there.

Seeing the sites in Normandy in May much more palatable than March, especially when you are on Omaha Beach or at the American Cemetery.
