Your report reflects your excellent spirit. I congratulate you on traveling alone. I did it once in Paris, many years ago, but felt very lonely. I think I was just too shy in those days.

Thanks for continuing to report. You really are making me want to plan another solo week in Paris!

Having just returned from Paris also, I'm enjoying reading your report!

Simpsonc510, the 6th was where we stayed too, and there are many, many places where you can take a table and not feel you need to move on quickly. It's one of the things I loved about Paris, no-one ever rushed me/us. We rushed ourselves one night when we realized we were the last people in the restaurant (cool drizzly night so we were indoors), and we wanted the staff to get to go home! But even then, they weren't rushing us.

Thank you guys.... I also want to go back... just to savor more of the architecture and food! :-)

@ Simpsonc510: If you can please get a copy of the "Fodor's 25 Best Paris", that was my bible, it includes a very detailed map of central Paris and it was in my hands at all the times. It also has maaaaany other suggestions and other places of interest...a must get!
