Paris in 7 hours

We'll be in Paris for the first time ever and only have 7 hours. My daughters are both in their twenties. What neighborhood would they like the best? What sites should we zoom in on and any suggestions for a truely Paris experience for lunch?

Does the 7 hours include transport to and from the airport?

This is just a suggestion, but it is doable if you are in good shape and have good walking shoes. The times are guide lines to keep you on schedule. Omit something if you get detoured/enticed by an alluring sight.

Start at Notre Dame--30 minutes

Sainte-Chapelle--30 minutes

Walk along the Seine to the Louvre--30 minutes

Louvre--90 minutes (get a map/guide and seek out the highlights)

Stroll the Champs-Elysees (through the Tuileries Gardens, Place de la Concorde and on up the Avenue des Champs-Elysees)-view the Arc de Triomphe--60 minutes

Walk to the Eiffel Tower (Ave. Marceau to the Seine, then on to the Tour Eiffel). Elevator to the top of the Eiffel--90 minutes

This leaves 90 minutes for lunch, travel time, etc.

Again, this is a quick but feasable plan. If you feel rushed or uncomfortable, just cut the tour short or omit part of it. Enjoy yourself and some sights of Paris.

I just recently did the same trip you and your daughters are doing, and it's amazing what you can pack into 7 hours. Jinx desribes severything we were able to do, except for some of the walking. A few other suggestions:
When at the Eiffel Tower, go to the North Tower line. It seems to move faster.
Get a hop on/hop off bus pass. We used Les Cars Rouges. This provides quick transport between sites. Plus, if you sit on the top outdoor level of the bus, you can see all the sites you don't have time to stop at and take pictures, like the Champs Elysees, Arc de Triompe, Opera House, etc. (I know I killed the spelling on some of those!)
With the extra time you save taking the bus, think about doing a 1-hr. boat trip on the Seine. There's one right at the Pont Neuf, I think is what the bridge is called. Someone correct me if I'm wrong!
Have fun!!
