Thank you all!
Less than 24 hours to take off - I can't wait.

I am still wondering a couple of things, if anyone has some answers/opinions...

Daytime Seine cruise vs. night -- still can't decide. Or, would it be worth the time to do both???

Any favorite restaurants in the Eiffel Tower, Montmatre, and Latin Quarter?

Am I missing anything???

Meghan,

You have received many good suggestions, especially from Diane. I couldn't resist a few more if there is time.

Take the river cruise at twilight and have dinner afterward. The setting sun casts a beautiful glow on many of the buildings.

Dine near the Eiffel Tower at La Croque a Sel at 131 rue Saint Dominique for a warm welcome and good food. Quality consistent for the past 4 years.

Have lunch in the garden of the Rodin museum. Simple food--great setting.

Skip Sacre Coeur and the tourists. If you want a view of Paris with the Eiffel Tower in it, go to the top of the Samaritaine dept. store.

My first trip to Paris was 2 1/2 days 20 years ago and I even made it to Versailles for an afternoon. I've been in love with the city since and have returned many times. Plan your next trip on the flight home!

Agreed - good to have a plan - but too much - too quick and too ambitious. I love city breaks and always start with a quick into bus tour so as to get the lay of the land and then decide where to go back and explore. It's worked for me and can save a lot of dead ends. Best of both worlds, let the experts show you around and then head off on your own. Have a great trip.
