Paris Hotels with A/C?

I'm having quite a time trying to find a hotel in Paris (around 100 euros per night) with A/C. We are traveling in July and I've been told that it's quite hot during that time. We are looking to stay in the Latin Quarter. I've been researching hotels that people suggested on another thread, but none seem to have A/C.

Any comments or suggestions?

I stayed at the Hotel Monge (55, rue Monge in the 5eme)last August. Rooms are typically small, elevator miniscule, but I was glad to have A/C that cooled well. Enjoyed my brief stay there. You can reserve from this site: http://www.france-hotel-guide.com/h75005monge.htm Good luck!

YOu'd do better in another quarter, actually, as there are few hotels in the Latin Quarter with AC at that rate. It's the rate that is the problem, there are plenty with AC but at 125 euro+. I know a few, though, which I didn't mention elsewhere--you just can't stay at the expensive, popular ones:
Hotel Residence Monge
Hotel du Levant www.hoteldulevant.com
Hotel des Arenes

Those are the only hotels I know in the Latin Qtr with AC close to your price.

As I said, I thought the Claude Bernard might fit in that range as it has summer discounts, but I checked and they are for August (although it is still not that expensive and does have AC). I usu. get those (seasonal discounts) on www.123france.com or www.parishotels.com, so you can check espec. www.123france.com for good deals.
Thanks Betty and Christina. I have requested a rate with both Hotel Mongue and Claude Bernard (yes, saw the August cut off for the good rate there). I think that either of these will suit us fine since they're in the Latin Quarter and both have A/C.

Thanks so much for your help!

You might want to look at the Hotel Muguet in the 7th. I've been researching hotels for a June trip, and this one has many good recommendations (although I've not stayed there myself). It has AC, and I was quoted a price of $103 US dollars for a double.

I've been to Paris once before in June and it was beastly hot. That may have been an aberration, but we were glad to have had the AC then.

Good luck.

Hi,

We made reservations at the hotel Muguet for the end of this June. We choose this hotel because it has AC. Hopefully will not have to use it, but we require a really good night sleep in order to keep going during the day. I have not stayed here before, but took the recommendations of this board. Have a great trip.

Thanks Liz & Sue. I'll try that one, as well.

Just a update. After checking out all the possibilities suggested on Fodors, we've booked with Hotel Monge. Thanks for the help everyone! You sure saved me a lot of time.

Hi Statia
The Hotel Bonaparte at 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th is about 100 E per night for a double w/bkfst in your room.
Each room has an A/C.
They do not have a website. Look them up on Google.
I stay there whenever I go to Paris.
