Totally agree about Le Florimond but do not understand the "compared to others in the area". Within 4-6 blocks of the Muguet there are just wonderful restaurants in the same price range.

We have stayed at the Grand Hotel Leveque on rue Cler 3-4 times. It's a great location, on a pedistrian-only street in teh 7th arr. The room only cost $60-70 for a double. We highly reccommend this hotel.

Hi Steph,
I have to second Sherri's reccomendation about the Hotel Vernuil. It is really spotlessly clean and really charming- and in the most fantastic position- a block from the Seine and 5 minutes walk from Bvd S.Germain. The staff were really helpful too! You're going to love Paris!!!! I'm so jealous of you!!!

Hi Steph

A Hotel I can recommend, which (I think) will meet your criteria, is Hotel De Saint Germain - a small 2** in Rue De Four - 2 blocks from Boulevard Saint Germain, and easy to walk to Louvre, Notre Dame etc.

The Hotel is clean and the staff is very friendly - staff at the reception is fluent in English.

Enjoy Paris!

Kindest regrads

Helen
