paris hotels
Traveling with my 85 year old father in law. Need at least a three star close to the 6th. Would like to stay around 100 EUR. Any suggestions?
Thank you |
Depending on time of year, your budget may fall short for 3 star hotels in the 6th.
I suggest you check out the very helpful Left Bank Hotels thread put together by members of this site. http://www.fodors.com/community/euro...ank-thread.cfm |
Don't think your budget is doable for that neighborhood. "at least" a 3*? Do you think you can get a 4* hotel in one of the most expensive neighborhoods of Paris for that?
YOur best bet is just Priceline if you want a 4* hotel, but I don't think there are any in central areas on that site, at least never heard of one. |
Are you aware that the star rating system in France is not equivalent to that in the USA? You might well find a 2-star French hotel that meets your expectations, but even that for $100 a night in the 6th will be a real challenge. You're probably going to have to increase your budget or decrease your requirements.

Not in the 6th but close enough and convenient for metros and buses

How long will you be in Paris? You might find that an apartment rental would be less and it allows you to save on meals.

Not in the 6th, but the 5th, a short walk from the Cluny Museum and also near Maubert-Mutualite Metro is Hotel College de France. 15-minute walk to the Luxembourg Gardens. Very friendly staff, wonderful maids who care and go out of their way for you. A single is about 90e a night.
