Paris Hotels?
I'm looking at hotels for my Paris stay from August 25-29. Looking for something at least 3 stars and around $150 for two adults. Musts - clean, convenient, A/C, and own bath. Any recommendations or at least suggestions on districts to stay in. I'm usually pretty good at looking for hotels, but the amount of information and the number of hotels is a little overwhelming. If someone could just point me in the right direction that would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I haven't been in 2 years - but from everything I've been reading - at least 3* with AC and in a central location is going to be tough with a budget of only $150.
There are tons of threads above with specific recos on modest hotels - and some mention AC as an issue - suggest you start there. |
Hotel Caron de Beaumarchais Marais District located 4e-nice museums, shops
Meets all your standards--rooms small but stylish; courteous staff; near Metro, Ile St. Louis. 152e per night. Reservations a must. Anthony |
Unfortunately $150 and 150e are very different amounts of money!!:)

I was thinking between $150-$200 USD.

Thank you for the recommendation for the site above. It's got some great deals! Have you ever used it before? Is it trustworthy? |
Have a look at Europe Hotel, a nice 3 star hotel that must be in your budget. it is located in the 15th but very close from the 7th, it is for expaple at walking distance from Invalides. The hotel is very clean, area is calm but lively, staff is friendly, rooms are of good size, A/C..have a look at the website:

There are quite a few three stars in the 6th and 7th offering good promos for that period.
www.france-hotel-guide.com I just booked a 3 star via this site for December for 78E a night, rack is 170/nt. |
We are in the process of selecting a hotel in Paris for early October and there are plenty of three star hotels in your price range. There is a book written by Sandra Gustafsen (sp?) and she has great descriptions of well priced hotels all over Paris. This author also has written the Cheap Eats in Paris book. Borders has both books.

Pull up the following threads..."Lulu G-please Repost about "fun" restaurants in the 6th". I wrote A LOT of hotel information under that thread. The continuation of that discussion was on another thread entitiled,"Off to Paris in October w/2 teenage boys, husband& my mother".Hope this will help. Happy Travels!

Dacia Luxembourg is a lovely 3-star on St Mich in the 5th. I honestly don't think you'll find anything MORE than a 3-star for that price range. |
