Paris hotels

I am going to Paris with my two daughters (15 and 18). Any comments regarding hotels would be greatly appreciated!! We are thinking of staying at a hotel in Le Marais (near the Place des Vosges) - but I am having second thoughts. We would really like to find something nice, quaint, small and in a local vibrant area - centrally located. Any thoughts....

panchina - I highly recommend Hotel Des Grandes Ecoles - 3 star hotel just a minute from Place de la Contrascarpe with all it's lively cafe`s and restaurants.
We were there a few short weeks ago and found it utterly charming!
Only thing is ---- it is highly sort after so unless you are booking w a a a a a y in advance, you won't get in.

Hi P,

We always stay at the Hotel Bonaparte, 61 Rue Bonaparte in the 6th. 179E for triples w/bkfst.

It might be cheaper for a dbl w/an extra bed.

It is located near 3 metro stops and 4 bus routes. Has AC and an elevator.

Try the Caron du Beaumarchais. we stayed there and loved it. It's right in the Marais. Please note that Paris hotel rooms are generally quite small and the bathrooms smaller yet.

I stayed at the Caron de Beaumarchais with my 18 yo granddaughter. We liked it very much. I second that small, quaint Paris hotels usually equal small rooms and bathrooms. Luggage storage can be a problem--but Paris is worth it.

I recommend the Hotel Le Regent, 61, Rue Dauphine in the 6th.
