Paris Hotels

Coming to Paris with hubby for a few nights . . . (September) can we stay central paris for under close to $100.00 night. Need: Easy metro access, clean, own bathroom. Thanks!

We stayed at the Hotel du Champ de Mars a few years ago and highly recommend it. The rooms were on the smallish side but very nicely decorated. The hotel is in the 7th, with lots of restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, as well as two metro stops. Not sure what the price is now, but it was about 80 euro at the time we went.

Do you realize that's only 63 euro at the moment? That's going to be pretty tough to find with private bath in central Paris.

Yes, you can find a central Paris hotel for under €68 ($100USD) per night - the "own bathroom" requiremnt may either bump the budget over $100 or put you further from the river (which is more important?). Places in your price range tend NOT to have web sites or email - you'll usually need to telephone them. Here's a few:

Delhy's Hotel
22, Rue Hirondelle
75006
+33 1 43 26 58 25

Hôtel Esméralda
4, Rue St Julien Le Pauvre
75005
+33 1 43 54 19 20

Tiquetonne Hotel
6, Rue Tiquetonne
75002

The above hotels are 1* hotels, and that is about what you need for that price. That is the most expensive hotel pricing period, also.

Here is another decent 1* hotel in that price range, in a good neighborhood only about a block to Gobelins metro stop. I like the area a lot

They have doubles with bath at only 53 euro.
