Paris hotels

Just did a post but forgot about the hotel! Any suggestions on "interesting" hotels? Not over 115 euros or at least around that price.I like to experience places, not feel as if I could be in any other place in the world except Paris. I found a few hotels that seem interesting. One sounds real cool: Hotel des Grands Degres de Notre Dame. Anther one, forgot the name, it is right near the Louve. Something like a printing press was once used in the building. Both places have character, not that pricy. Ok don't yell at me for forgeting the name, I will try to find it again. Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks!

In the Latin Quarter is Hotel Monge. That should be close to your price range. Close to a couple of metro stops, restaurants nearby.

Thanks to you both for your quick responses, great ideas. I have a little while untill I need to book, perhaps a few weeks. I will be there the first week in June. Thanks again!

I haven't stayed there, but have heard that the Hotel des Grands Degres is a good choice. I wouldn't expect a lot of really unusual or interesting hotels in that price range, though, it's very low. Most in that price range have pretty ordinary furnishings, and often are modern on the interior.

I do know two that are interesting in that range, though -- both in St Germain: the Hotel Nesle and St Andre des Arts.
