Paris Hotels
Does anyone know of any good deals for luxury hotels near Champs Elysees or Invalides that is $200 or less per night? I have searched many hotels but I am not sure of the quality. I am looking for a good size room with very French design and maybe a view.

I think you can perhaps find a good deal on a 4-star hotel in the right season, but not a luxury hotel, which to mean is the Bristol, Geo V, Plaza Athenee (only a few of these hotels which are rated 4starsL by govt, they don't have a 5-star rating). Those are luxury hotels, but I don't think possible at your rate. I'm not sure about 7th so much, maybe the 4-star Tourville would be suitable for what you seek (I think some rooms have views of Eiffel Tower). Near the Champs-Elysees, I'd suggest you consider the Hotel Francois Premier near the Arc--I'm not sure, but I think some rooms have a view of the Arc and that hotel is fairly reasonably priced for that area for a 4-star. YOu can get rooms within your price range as long as you are not talking about peak season (holidays or Fall Sept-Oct)--I believe it's on www.france-hotel-guide.com The Francois Premier is owned by the same people as some other good hotels, like the St-Germain des Pres.

Mike,
You haven't mentioned the dates you have in mind, but a friend just booked a room at the Marriott Champs Elysees for about $100 night. Normally the rooms are $250 and up. He will be staying the first week of January and booked through the Marriott's web site, www.marriott.com I would check them out and see what kind of specials they offer for the dates you have in mind. $100 a night for a four star hotel is a very good buy.
BTilke (Brussels)
