Paris Hotels
We have narrowed our hotel search down to these three.
1)Concorde LaFayette.
2)Le Meridien Montparnasse.
3_Hotel Inter-Continental.

Please help me decide.

John: You might know, that all those hotels are rather huge and modern. But, as you ask as for it, I'd definitely go for the Inter-Conti, no question. It's the most centrally located and still charming in a way. Very nice, but also expensive area.
Le Meridien-Montp. is as it says in Montparnasse (14th) which is a nice neighbourhood as well.
The Concorde-Lafayette is somewhere in the West, 17th I think.
Hope this helps -- un peu, j'esp?re!

Dear Sir,
Because of the location, I will choose the Intercontinental. I do not like the location of the Concorde lafayette, porte Maillot, too far from everything unless you go to a congress, the palais des congr?s is right there! The Montmarnasse area, is south of Paris, not bad, but not as good as the rue castiglione for the Intercontinental, really central! It is also a beautiful hotel and had many clients staying there!
If you need any help, tours, transfers, assitance in paris, booking with restaurants, shows....Please contact me.
http://www.frenchadventures.com/
It will me my pleasure to answer your questions.
Regards,
Agnes

John: Just have some more details for you re: size of the three hotels:
Concorde-Lafayette: some 1000 rooms
Meridien-Montparnasse: some 950 roooms
Inter-Continental: "only" some 450 rooms.

This should make your decision even more easier.
If you want further information about Paris, you will find a
lot on this board or at:

www.paris-touristoffice.com
www.parisavenue.com
www.bo njourparis.com
www.paris.org
I would choose the Intercontinental. Very good hotel and, to me, a far better location than the others. For more Paris information e-mail me ? [email protected]

Well, I realize this is not the answer to your question. But, my favorite memories of staying in Paris are of staying in little hotels in the 6th. There is always something interesting down the street to do - Neat little shops, a market, or wine bar.

I recommend the Hotel Millisime if you can afford it - it is very nice, quaint, homey, and very convenient. My sister really liked
Hotel des Marronniers
21, rue Jacob, 75006 Paris
Metro: Saint Germain des Pres
Tel. 33-1 43 25 30 60 - Fax. 33-1 40 46 83 56
(price : from 550 to 950 F, breakfast : 45 F)

I have stayed at Le Meridien twice-nice breakfast the metro is a pain it is the gaite metro so we wre always changing metros at the next stop wich was alot of walking! Stay at a different hotel I would go for a small 0ne in St. Germain!

My friends stayed at the Inter-Continental last Feb.Although it is a nice hotel, it is in a very busy area, they ended up walking a lot, just in order to get to the areas they wanted to be in-The Left Bank, the Louvre, and the hotel was full of business people and tour groups...I would (and do!) stay on the Left Bank. For the price of the big tourist hotels on the Right Bank, I am sure you will find something charming and to your liking off of the Blvd St Germain...look into it~you might like it:) C * There are many people here on this board that can direct you to some wonderful hotels if you decide to try the Left Bank~

If I am not mistaken, AGNES and FRED are in the travel business and not supposed to be promoting their business on these boards. And because of that = you should disregard their replies.
