Paris Hotels

As part of a vacation package to Paris, I can select between 3 hotels: Corona Opera Hotel, New Hotel Candide, or Hotel Printania Republique. I'm looking for a review of any one of these hotels from somone who has stayed there. Thanks!

Hi
None of those locations would be ones I would choose, but for me, the best would be the Corona Opera because it is closer to the center of town.
You might want to also check for comments under the Paris hotel section of this Fodor's website ("rants & raves") as well as at www.hotelboulevard.com or
www.paris.org
Hope this isn't too late. I don't know about the other two, but I would definitely NOT recommend the New Hotel Candide. We stayed there in May and although I knew the room would be small, it was tiny. We booked it as a triple and they put in a rollaway as the third bed. We were literally walking on the beds to move around the room. The hotel was not particularly clean (especially our bathroom) and many bits 'n' pieces were falling apart, i.e. molding from the walls, a chunk of our toilet was missing, drapes torn and missing hooks. Maintenance just not kept up. We looked out onto a tiny alley used for garbage disposal. It was supposedly the best they could give us and as we were only there for two nights we just stayed. I will say that the breakfast was okay and it was nice to have the option of having it in our room. Hope this helps.
