Paris Hotel Recs for around 60 Euro?

I had 2 recommended to me, but they're booked up.
Kind of wary to book a cheap place without a recommendation.
I'm open to arrondiments.
Much appreciated!

Have you had a chance to look at the hotels on http://www.eurocheapo.com/paris ? You can search by price or arrondissement and each has a review. If you see something you like, post here and see if anyone has stayed at that particular hotel recently. Also check the reviews on tripadvisor.com

I've stayed at Tiquetonne twice at 50 euros per night for a double. Would gladly stay there again.

I've written about it here -- try to search for the hotel by name and/or my moniker (or click on my moniker).

If there's one (potential) complaint -- the hotel can get noisy in the morning. It's the sort of building that you can hear everything. But that was not an issue for me.

A previous poster (WillTravel) asked if the rooms have a telephone. My double did, as I noticed it this time. You can receive phone calls until 11 or 11:30 (I forget) -- the desk is probably tended until midnight.

Hotel Floridor, 51 euro including breakfast for a single. On place Denfert Rochereau accross from metro and RER, near excellent market street rue Daguerre. It is in the 15th. Has an elevator, single had a comfortable double bed, good ensuite BR. Breakfast is served in your room each AM, coffee, croissant, 1/2 baguette and butter and jam. I also stayed in a nice size triple with my husband and son. No website, google for phone number. The staff were very nice, especially when I was sick and alone on a trip. Brought me tea and checked on me. Found me a Dr. nearby.

Hotel St Andre des Arts on the street of the same name in the 6th. I've stayed there and would stay there again.

Hotel Résidence les Gobelins, 55E per night for a single room. A good budget hotel, with nice, clean rooms, the staff is kind and helpful. The location is good, too.

I can personally recommend this place. Price should be in your range - I stayed about there 5 years ago for about $50US/night when the dollar was much stronger. EXCELLENT bistro across the street (Le Cameleon).
