Paris Hotel Recommendation Needed

Traveling to Paris for the first time in October. Need a great hotel recommendation at a somewhat reasonable price.

What is reasonble for you? we can answer if we know :)

I think staying at the Crillon at 800 euros a night is reasonable for what you get.

Why don't you stay there?

When will you be in Paris in October?
I have a bateau in the Seine booked in mid October.
Try http://stayingafloatinparis.site.voila.fr.
The rate is 140 Euros per night.

We stayed at Le Laumiere in the 12th Arrondissement several
years ago. The current rates are 61 for streetside and
75 for the guarden side double rooms.
Address: 4 rue Petit.
tele: 42 06 10 77.

My advise: Check out the hotels on one of the search engines and then go to tripadvisor.com to get the reviews before you settle on a place.

Good luck,

Larry

I have stayed at Hotel Bonaparte 4 times on the recommendation of Ira. I love the location, and the hotel is really nice. It has free wifi in the lobby. My last stay was in June. My son's ex-girlfriend got a big kick out of the extra small elevator. Does the trick though. The rate for the smallest double(not too small) is 131€ including breakfast. It is very near a metro stop and 2 bus stops. And most important-it is close to Laduree's. www.hotelbonaparte.fr

We were hoping not to pay more than $400 per night. I thought that the 1, 2, 7 and 8 arrondissements seemd the best but am open to suggestions.

I am going to check out some of the web sites recommended. Thanks!

I would recommend the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles. It's in the Latin Quarter, just a short walk from the Siene, in a great neighborhood. The rooms are in 3-4 buildings around a central courtyard garden. When I stayed there last in fall of 2005, the prices were 100-150 euro depending on room size.

I too really enjoyed the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles. Not fancy at all, but very comfortable, a homelike feel. The courtyard is delightful. The desk personnel were very helpful to the guests. The Hotel des Grandes Ecoles is just up a slight hill from the Cardinal Lemoines metro stop on line 10. It is walkable to the Pantheon and Jardin du Luxembourg

Hi Jsing -

I stayed at Hotel Madison on Blvd. St. Germain in the 6th. It's in a nice neighborhood, close to 2 Metro stops, and breakfast is included. Hope that helps, and bon voyage!

The Hotel Britannique is in your budget and is a wonderful hotel. We had 2 rooms there and both were great. Beautiful hotel, great location in the 1st, good breakfast, and very helpful staff. I would definitely stay there again!

Hotel St. Louis. You can't beat the price and location combo.

I stayed ther 3 times and recommend it all time. Everyone loves it. the location is superb. The only problem is that rooms are small especially for US standards.

http://locationparis9.canalblog.com/tag/paris. We stayed at this apt. for about 40Euro per night. Furnished kitchen, nice bed, really hot water. Everything furnished, towels, sheets, wash clothes, etc. All you need to bring is food and clothes.
