Paris Hotel Options in the 16th: Nicolo, Passy Eiffel or Trocadero Le Tour

I'll be in Paris for 4-nights in August. I'd like to stay close to the Rue de Passy in the 16th. I'm considering the Hotel Nicolo, The Passy Eiffel and The Trocadero Le Tour.

The Hotel Nicolo seems to get the best reviews of the three but it isn't air condtioned and this has been a hot summer.

Any feedback or suggestions for other properties in the area would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Lizzie

I'd follow Patty's recommendation.

If not, Villa Glamour rue de la pompe 16e is one of my absolute favorites in Paris (in my top 3 but it bores some that I give stats about hotels).
Albeit the 16e is quite quiet.

Enjoy your trip. Do ask for a rebate, august is quite cheap, I got some very nice rebates in my reservations - up to 60% actually...

Thank you for your suggestion. It looks lovely.

I like the Passy area, but haven't stayd in a hotel there (meant to, several times) so can't recommend from personal opinion. I'd just go by the reviews you can find and its location and appearance.

YOu shouldn't have to ask for a rebate for august, if room rates are lower, it should say so on the website. Every place I've stayed with discounted rates in August had it clear on the website when you booked how the rates varied for that period. It shouldn't be a secret.

I'm missing something. Who is Patty and what is her recommendation?

OP posted on TAPF. Patty recommended a hotel there.

I know the hotel Patty suggested. I saw it last time I was in Paris. They have some renovations going on this summer plus some pretty steep stairs that I would prefer not to navigate. I've narrowed it down to the Passy Eiffel right on the Rue de Passy and the Trocadero La Tour. I'll probably go with thee later. It seems to have everything I need and is a a side street just a minute or so from Rue de Passy.

Since you're looking at Best Westerns, I stayed at the BW au Trocadero, with a room the had a direct view of the ET. It was simple but comfortable and the view was great. I also liked the location for its proximity to an excellent artisanal boulangerie where I went each morning for breakfast. Overall, it was a very convenient place to stay and I'd stay there again.

Passy looks very nice and affordable.
I'll note it down and test it some day...
Thanks !

It has been a while since I was last there but I liked it alot. It reminds me of staying in Chelsea just off of Kings Road -- very residential but lots of great stores on Rue de Passy, decent transport links and some peace and quiet... I hope.
