Paris hotel location help

I have two options using my points in Paris. One is Comfort Hotel Gare de L'Est
31, boulevard de Strasbourg
The other choice is Comfort Hotel Bastille
71, rue de Charonne. Any ideas on which might be a nicer location.
thanks

The other question is which hotel is better? so maybe the reviews at Tripadvisor.com will help you with both of these..

I would lean toward the Bastille/Charonne location without knowing anything else.

The reviews are similar on both. that is why I am thinking location.

I would take the Comfort Hotel Bastille. I looked into the street last month, standing on avenue Ledru-Rollin, and it seemed fine, if a bit too modern for my taste. It's a nice area, residential and not touristy, I think you will like it there. And there's a faboulous bakery that also sells chocolates on avenue Ledru-Rollin, a few minutes walk from the hotel. I think it's in number 104.
And St-Cirq, an expert on France on this forum, has often recommended the restaurant Le Passage des Carmagnoles, 18 passage Bonne Graine. Again, a very easy walk from the hotel. And you have the Aligre food market quite nearby. Transportation options are good, too.
