Paris Hotel - Hotel Verneuil

Hi. Has anyone stayed at this hotel in the St. Germain de Pres area? Please let me know your thoughts. Area? Good for single traveler? Thank you.

If you go to Trip Advisor..or just google it..you will find reviews of the hotel.

The sister hotel on the right bank is the Therese.

Yes, to it being a good location and for a solo person.

Enjoy...

I thought it a great value with a good location. Modern baths. We stayed in 2 different rooms there, both well furnished. One was a lot bigger, I think it was room #3, which was up one flight of stairs. The smaller one was on the top floor which you had to hold your breath to get 2 people squeezed into the elevator to reach. Staff were very helpful. I think this is one of the great values for an upscale hotel.

Just to agree with gracejoan3 that the location in the 7th is quiet and wonderful for a single traveler.
Just be aware that the standard rooms are *very* compact. If you need more space, you might want to book a superior.

Forgot to add (and this may be important if you're going in the warmer months) the rooms have air conditioning. That's not always the case in this price range.

We stayed there 2 years ago. We asked about air conditioning before we booked and were assured that they had it.

My husband and I had a superior double, a very nice, comfortable room.

My adult daughters requested a twin bedded room and were given one on the top floor with no a/c. It was quite uncomfortable up there. The receptionist said there were no other rooms available and did supply a fan.

I'd make certain about the a/c if your stay is in the summer.

I (solo traveler) stayed at Hotel Verneuil in September in a single room which redefined "small", but that was fine since I only was in the room to sleep. The decor in my room was looking a little "tired" and the mattress was as hard as a park bench (but I slept like the dead every night). I thought the location was great for walking just about everywhere and there were a number of restaurants and cafés close by. The area always felt safe at night and as the street is primarily residential, it was quiet.
