Hi Zandra:

We stayed at the Hotel du Palais Bourbon two years ago. It was a nice place to stay - decent size rooms, modern baths, accomodating staff (I wouldn't call them friendly or cheerful, but they were certainly fine). The room was spotless and I would stay there again, BUT, the area is rather quiet. We found that at night we wanted to be where there was more activity - it was very dead near the hotel. However, we saw some restaurants that looked very good, but because we spent so little time near the hotel, we never got a chance to eat at any of them.

If you're looking for a quiet hotel with a good size room, clean and simple, this is the one for you.

By the way, we'll be in Paris in a few weeks and are staying at the Hotel des Grandes Ecoles.

Good luck!
Carol

Lots of good eats and other shops on rue Cler, on the opposite side of Les Invalides from the Rodin, but walking distance.
