We plan on taking a chocolate pastry break every afternoon. We have 3 afternoons. We will do breakfast one morning at Angelinas before the crowds arrive. It seems to me that someone somewhere on the board talked about upstairs rooms with tables so you can eat on site so that you do not need to carry some amazing chocolate treat back to your hotel room. Does Perre Herme have one of these rooms? So let us know where you like to to take that afternoon break with some amazing dessert and cafe or tea or even champagne! We have been to Laudree so we would like to go someplace else. Oh yes, any thoughts on the Balzar apple tartin? Fiftheen years ago it was one of the best things I had ever had in my life.

The 2 Pierre Hermes I've visited, 1st and 6th locations I think, did not have seating.

Cafe Pouchkine in Printemps has devine pastries and a handful of counter seats.

Pierre Herme in the 6th definitely has no seating(we feasted on their chocolate treats and macarons at Luxembourg Gardens last fall). Really enjoyed our afternoon dessert and Tahitian tea/hot chocolate at Un Dimanche a Paris.

What you seem to be asking about is not chocolate shops but tea rooms or pastry shops. Angelina's is not a chocolate shop, nor are any of the other places you name (Pierre Herme, etc.).

Dalloyau is in the same mode, a store that sells pastry and some confections and chocolates, and has some tables in their shop (at least the one near Luxembourg gardens does). They refer to that as their tea salon. It isn't a cholate shop, though.

I would not miss the lemon tarts at Dalloyau - better than the chocolate.

Don't forget to mention that you plan to eat your pastries in the shop so they can charge extra for the table.

I was in Paris last week and Jacques Genin (on Rue de Turennes) does not sell pastry anymore, but does have a very nice/elegant seating area for tea, chocs, etc.
