Paris hotel for 3

A couple of girlfriends and I are going to Paris for May 25-May 28. We are looking for a hotel room that sleeps 3 - two twins and a rollaway is fine.
My internet search has yielded prices in the $400-$500 range and rooms that say 2 person maximum.
Can anyone recommend a hotel in the $200-$250 range that is in a safe neighborhood and walking distance of the metro or the sites?
Thank You

What sort of amenities do you require? Is $200 per night or for 3 days? If per night, there are hundreds of hotels in that range. If for 3 days, you'll have to give up location or amenities.

I don't understand your post but since it is hard to believe you could not find a hotel for less than $400 a night, I am presuming this is for 3 nights (or 4? if so, you will not find much decent for less than that, a triple for $100 a night). YOu should specify your per night budget to clarify what you are looking for. Just go to www.hotelboulevard.com and look for hotels with triple rates and you'll find dozens for $250 a night or less. You can easily get two double rooms or a double and single for $250 or less a night total, basically any two star hotel and many 3 stars will fit that description.

Sorry I left out some info. We are looking for a room for $200-$250 per night. We would like a private bath and some room to move around. In looking on the internet, there are a lot of hotels already booked. Also, hotels in my price range have stated that the maximum number of people allowed is 2. We're looking for hotels that have nice rooms and we can walk around safely in the evening.
Thank You

We stayed at the Plazza Bastille Suites Hotel on the border of Le Marais and La Bastille. Less than a half-block from the San Sebastion station. Close, clean, comfortable....maybe a bit spartan by American standards but it was $138/night and quite adequate.

Now don't turn up your nose...I found a room at the Best Western Plaza Elysees, with a rollaway for about $130 per night, call their 800 number....I've heard that the hotels aren't owned by Best Western, only under that umbrella for advertising and booking purposes...Good Luck

Sylvia, there are many good hotel web sites for Paris that list lots of triple rooms, I'm just wondering where you've been looking? Have you tried Hotelboulevard? I haven't used them but have heard people say they will do a search for you if you tell them your requirements, they will get back to you with hotels with vacancies, you might try that. Other sites I like are www.france-hotel-guide.com, www.parishotels.com and www.webscapades.com. Your price range is very do-able, in fact, I hesitate to mention a few hotels with triples as they are more budget, but I know the Familia and Regents Hotel (on rue Madame) do, (both only about 700F for a triple), and Hotel de la Bourdonnais in the 7th has rooms for up to 4 at 800F or so. Those are probably more basic than you want (you can see the first two on www.france-hotel-guide.com, maybe the Bourdonnais also). Best Western is a possibility as they have quite a few good hotels in Paris and an 800 number that makes booking easy and they can tell you right away about vacancies, here is their specific Paris site (www.bw-paris-hotels.com); consider their Regents Garden property near the Arc, it is a nice hotel and has a quad suite for 1520F. The Hotel Madison is very convenient right on bd St-Germain (www.hotel-madison.com) and published rates for 1100-1250F/dbl and +400F for an extra bed. That might be more for kids than grown adult, don't know. I would suggest you consider this nice property (4 stars) which has suites, Residence des Arts in St-Germain, very good location (www.residence-des-arts.com), they have suites for 1500F and an "apartment" for four for only 1800F which is below your budget. I would think you could find something in Feb for May through these options.

Well, since you're going to be in the Paris area...and I happen to live in Paris...your girlfriends and yourself can just come stay at my place for free. Well, virtually free. I do ask for some "favors" in return, if you know what I mean. Talk to you soon!

Thank You everyone for the information.
I am checking some of sites now. Can you recommend a section of Paris to stay in that is central to sites and safe?
Thank You

Two specific thoughts come to mind. Hotel Left Bank (a Best Western) has deluxe rooms with two twin beds plus a day bed (regular mattress, etc), large and well decorated with a very large, well equipped bath that would be around $200 per night. Also there is a really charming place called Residence des Arts very close to St. Michel with a "suite", actually a two bedded bedroom plus a semi-separated room with a queen sleeper sofa and a large bath and even a small kitchen (this place is beautifully furnished) for just over $200. For $400 in Paris you can stay at a 5 star hotel with very little charm or character -- but that's fine if it's what you want.

The Grand Hotel Leveque has a great location, very small, very charming and the find ofParis. Only about $65 per night and well worth it. We stayed there a week and met lots of fun people from all over. Have their card at home but am sure you can find them on the internet. Good luck.

Sylivia:

I spent 7 days in Paris last July. Check out the Hotel de Fleurie in the St. Germaine area. It's location is easily accessible to the Metro and you can walk to Notre Dame and even the Louvre from the hotel if you're into walking. The hotel is quite charming, clean and relatively inexpensive (about $150 per night. Staff is extremely helpful and courteous.

Thank You everyone for the information. I have sent an e-mail to The Grand Hotel Leveque and the Hotel de Fleurie to check on availability. The other hotels did not have availability.
Thanks Again :)

The Hôtel Duquesne has everything you're looking for in your price range, maybe less. Room 54 in the corner top floor is well-suited for 3 people and has a balcony with a lovely view of the Tour Eiffel. The neighborhood (7me) is lovely and safe and full of nice shops and restaurants and cafés - a real Paris neighborhood. The Ecole Militaire métro stop is 2.5 blocks away, and the LaTour Maubourg stop is three. Website:

http://www.hotelbook.com/static/welcome_27845.html#top

My girlfriend and I stayed at The Hotel Inter-Continental. They allowed rollaways. Beautiful room, view and great service...across the street from the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower's to the right if you have a window.
