Paris Hotel Feedback
 

We are travelling to PAris for a romantic getaway from kids, work, etc. <BR>The travel agent has recommended 2 hotels that i have not been able to find on the web. <BR>Normandy Hotel in 1st arrondissment and Hotel California in the 7th. <BR>Has anyone any knowledge of these hotels? <BR>thank you in advance. <BR>diane <BR>

Hello Diane, <BR> <BR>No, I have not heard of the hotels you mentioned. Do a search of this web site and see the many choices/recommendations for Paris. <BR> <BR>I'll be staying at Grand Hotel des Balcons and Grand Hotel Leveque. <BR> <BR>Have a great time in Paris!

<BR>Hi: Enter www.paris.com on the net and go to hotel secton. You see a map of all of the areas. Click on any one and a list of hotels in the area comes up. Click on anyone that interests you (it gives them in order of price) and you will most times see a picture of the hotel with a description and a place where you can check availability. It is truly a great site. We are going to Paris for the first time in the next few months and I found it the most helpful thing after reading Fodors list.

We stayed at a very nice, modern, clean and inexpensive hotel next to Gare De Lion (15 -20 minutes metro ride from the center). Its the one of the NOVOTEL chains. check their web site or 800 number. Amik.

Hello <BR> <BR>I read that Hôtel Duc de St.-Simon is fantastic. There is an article in TravelandLeisure.com about how it's one of the top hotels. Very chic.

I have head of the Hotel California several times, but not the other one. There are two Hotel Californias, though neither is in the 7th that I know of -- one is more deluxe and in the 8th, another is in the LAtin Qtr and maybe a moderate 3-star. Both are considered good hotels within their categories from what I've heard, but I've not stayed at either myself.
