Paris Hotel choice- Hotel California, Le Meridien Montparnasse, or St Gregoire?
I'm holding 3 rservations and must choose. Any recommendations for these hotels. Fodor's rants and raves has some negative and positive comments on St Gregoire. The others are not reviewed.

we stayed at le meridien in may. a little far away from the center, but great restaurants. ask to see your room first,we had a hassle but did get a non-smoking room after I insisted.
missed some clothing and had to e-mail many times before "it was found" and finally got it back.
have a great trip.

We stayed there recently in Aug. It was just like another business hotel. The rooms are comfortable but I find it a bit of a distance from most places. It does have a metro station nearby and of ocurse nice restaurants just round the corner at Blvd Montparnasse. If you don't mind a bit of distance, it's okay. It's near the Luxembourg Gardens and we actually took a walk to the Latin Quarter.

I would stay osmehwere else the next time actually, maybe somehwere on the 6th.
