Paris hotel base camp 4th/5th/6th for around 100 E a night
 

Hey folks, my wife and I are heading to Paris first week of July. Looking for a good location to base camp. Would be nice if the nightly rate would be around 100 E a night. Also would be nice if the hotel had breakfast included and rooms had a full kitchen.

Also woundering if anyone knows of hotels with meal plans so if we didnt want to cook in the kitchen we could use the meal plan.

We have been to Paris before and are very confortable with the metro so if someone knows a different location at has what we are looking for but further out please feel free to suggest it.

lastly when we were to paris before we stayed at a hotel that we can't seem to remember the name but each monring the street the hotel was on had a open air market that ran for several blocks. Anyone know this location and a hotel in that area.

The issue might be...going in 2 weeks, high season. You may be a little late in getting a wide choice of hotels. There are a couple of last minute sites, I'll see if can find threads.

Hotels, that I know of, do not do meal plans. Many include breakfasts, but you will find that, for the same meal, you can get it cheaper by eating out. Not sure what you meant by kitchen...hotels do not have kitchens..

If you want a "hotel" with a full kitchen, then what you really want is an apartment. It might be hard to find one at this late date, but you never know.

well, it isn't high season in July, but the real problem is getting a hotel with a full kitchen. There are some hotels that have kitchenettes in some rooms, I stayed in one. But certainly not a "full kitchen". I don't know of any hotels in Paris with meal plans, that tends to be a rural thing in B&Bs.

Les Trois Poussins in the 9th has kitchenettes, I had one. the Hotel Vert Galant near the Gobelins tapestry place has some rooms like that, also. http://www.vertgalant.com/

They do have vacancies at the beginning of July and say you should contact them to see if they have ones with kitchenettes available. You might just go with a Citadine "aparthotel" if that kitchenette thing is really important to you. There are lots of those around. http://www.citadines.com/

oh, sorry, I forgot to comment that what you want for 100 euro a night? forget it, it's impossible

priceline.com/ What I would consider is going to Priceline and then to the 'bid' section. You can check what area and also how many 4 stars. Then place your bid [$100]. If you get a response, you will not know the name of the hotel until you commit. Take a chance. Richard
