Paris Hotel - Apostrophe or Parc Saint-Severin - any thoughts?

Or any others in that price range that you would recommend? We are a couple in our late 40s and will be there for 5 nights in March - thanks!

I'm not sure all your posting appeared. For five nights you may consider taking an apartment. I've been dealing with a company called "Allorenta.com" who have an easy to use site, plenty of apartments on the books, and are great at communication.

I think the Parc St Severin would be fine. It's a very central location and a decent hotel. Now I don't know the Apostrophe, but I usually stay in that neighborhood in Paris and like it a lot (Montparnasse). It's a different experience than being right near the Seine (which is why I like it). It's also very convenient and there are lots of restaurants nearby and metro stops. It depends, some tourists say they think that location is "too far out". It's about a mile from the Seine. If you really don't want to travel much by metro, you might prefer the location near the Seine. Of course, you'll have to use the metro to go some places, but there is a lot you could walk to from that location near the Seine (Notre Dame, boat cruises, Ste Chapelle, even the Louvre, etc.). There are no specific tourist attractions near the Apostrophe, which is why I prefer areas like that, which don't focus solely on tourists.

There are just so many possible hotels in Paris, I can't really recommend one in particular, but those you chose are fine. If you state your budget, it might be useful to folks, rather than having them have to look up the rates at those hotels (which I don't know).

Thanks - I didn't realize they were in such different locations. The location of the Parc Saint Severin DOES appeal to us, I just didn't know much about the hotel itself. We are going to celebrate our birthdays and our anniversary, so I don't want to stay in an apartment - do NOT want to make beds and would like fresh towels, linens, etc BUT also don't want to spend more than about $350 per night, and would like a nice hotel with a French feel that's in a good location where we can walk to the Seine, restaurants, etc and near metro. Thanks so much!

We stayed in the Parc Saint Severin last spring. Really liked the location. Also nice views from the 6th floor. Our room was very large and nice.
Actually, I booked it because of some comments on Fodors. I would stay there again!
